>> Wendy:Good morning.
>> Bridget:I'm Bridget.
>> Wendy:And I'm Wendy.
>> Bridget:And this is flicking beans. Yeah. So your. Your hubby is laid up.
>> Wendy:Yeah, he had knee replacement surgery a couple days ago and it's tough going right now.
>> Bridget:I like his nice tights.
>> Wendy:Yeah, they make him wear foot to top of the thigh stockings. Keep the blood flowing.
>> Bridget:That sucks.
>> Wendy:It's gonna get be bad before it gets better. But his knee has messed up for a long time.
>> Bridget:Darn well. Yeah, he'll be happy once he's healed.
>> Wendy:Yeah, but I'm on nurse duty, so
>> Bridget:I was hoping to make you guess the flavor of your coffee.
>> Wendy:To me it tastes like hazelnut or almond.
>> Bridget:I swear to God. Have they just mislabeled all their syrups?
>> Wendy:Is it chocolatey? I don't know. It's kind of like a nutty chocolatey tinge to it.
>> Bridget:It's coconut.
>> Wendy:What?
>> Bridget:Oh my God.
>> Wendy:Really? There's no coconut flavor at all. I can taste.
>> Bridget:Can I taste it?
>> Wendy:Yeah. I can taste the coffee more. At least in these small sizes. That is a trick.
>> Bridget:Yeah. What the f***?
>> Wendy:What's going on? Seven Brew. Did you get a Pixie Stick?
>> Bridget:I did my salivation station.
>> Wendy:They keep telling me I have like a free drink or whatever from Rewards, so.
>> Bridget:Yeah.
>> Wendy:Should go pick up a treat sometime.
>> Bridget:I'll just tell them your phone number.
>> Wendy:There you go.
>> Bridget:So I've already had an exciting morning yet again. So I get a ding on my phone that I have an Amazon package. So I open my door and grab it and I see at the door of the laundry room, bottom of the stairs, fireman. Oh, firemen.
>> Wendy:Somebody set lint on fire.
>> Bridget:Somebody got locked in the laundry room. Can you imagine? They had just let the lady out.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:And I go, oh my God. Did you get locked in? She's like, yes, but at least we have our phones on us because that's how you do the. Yeah.
>> Wendy:Oh, ye. If you didn't bring your phone with you.
>> Bridget:Huge fire truck outside and it's running and I was like, h, no one's around. I take it for a little joy ride.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:Oh. I probably couldn't climb all the way up to the driver's seat, but all I can say is glad it wasn't me.
>> Wendy:Yeah. I have a story that's kind of similar to this. Of course I do. Have you ever gotten locked in somewhere like that?
>> Bridget:Just our bathroom when I was little.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:Yeah.
>> Wendy:So I worked for a spring break company in college. I had just gotten to South Padre and we like, went out with the people that we were with. And I was, like, tired, so I decided to go back to our condo, but I was locked out of our condo. So there was a bathroom by the pool and I really had to pee and I went in there and I got locked in.
>> Bridget:Shut up.
>> Wendy:At this point, I hardly had anybody's phone number yet. I just, like, gotten there. So I had a couple people's phone number and I was, like, banging because there was a security guard, but they weren't hanging out by the pool. Banging and, like, screaming.
>> Bridget:And I call security.
>> Wendy:I called, like, the one phone number I have, and luckily they picked up and came and got me. But I was freaking out a little bit that I was gonna have to spend the night in the bathroom.
>> Bridget:Oh, awful. Where are you gonna lay your head?
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:And it wasn't.
>> Wendy:Yeah. A spring break. Pool, bathroom. Not the.
>> Bridget:Oh, gross. Yeah. Oh, my God.
>> Wendy:Yeah. So dumb. That shouldn't even be able to happen.
>> Bridget:I know. Okay, let's get on with it.
>> Wendy:Get into it. Our movie this week, Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, 1997. Currently streaming on Hulu.
>> Bridget:This is one of those movies for me where I can say every line.
>> Wendy:Yeah, Yeah. I love this movie. But I hadn't seen it in a very long time. Like, I think there was a period of time where I watched it a lot, but I don't think I've seen it in, like, over a decade. So I didn't remember a lot of stuff. But that was kind of a fun way to rewatch it and go, like, oh, yeah, it's great.
>> Bridget:The themes. Right? We love to talk about the themes.
>> Wendy:Yes.
>> Bridget:Like, so many of the movies that we have. Love be yourself.
>> Wendy:Yes.
>> Bridget:Be your authentic self. And you're always going to be good enough.
>> Wendy:Correct. Yeah.
>> Bridget:Yeah.
>> Wendy:It's always better to do that than to live a lie.
>> Bridget:Yeah.
>> Wendy:I thought this movie was kind of fun because I feel like it covered both your and my high school experience, sort of. Oh, because, like, they graduated 1987. That's around the time you graduated. Right. And then they're back at their tenure reunion in 1997, which is when. Right before I was in high school. The fashion, because that's a big thing in both. And the differences between the 80s and the 90s, so I just loved all of that. Do you remember the catalog Delias? So when I was a kid, like middle school, high school, they had this catalog that was geared towards teenage girls. And if you're of my generation, everybody had this. You could get it shipped to you for free. So we'd all bring it to school and look. And like, every outfit that they had was, like, from that catalog. I swear, it was like, if that catalog was a movie, it would be this movie.
>> Bridget:I love that.
>> Wendy:Yeah. All the patent leather, the shininess, the pastel colors, like, all of that.
>> Bridget:I love it.
>> Wendy:Dahlias.
>> Bridget:I love everything about their fashion. Do you remember Parker Posey in Best in show when she goes. We're so lucky to have been raised amongst catalogs.
>> Wendy:So true.
>> Bridget:Oh, my God, I love it.
>> Wendy:I do miss the era of magazines a little bit. Catalogs and magazines. And obviously they still have magazines, but I don't read them.
>> Bridget:Oh. If I'm somewhere, waiting room or whatever, and there's a magazine. Oh, I'm gonna look through it, but I do not want a subscription.
>> Wendy:No.
>> Bridget:Oh, my God. Things would just pile up on me. So have you ever gone to reunions?
>> Wendy:I went to my five year, which is kind of a silly one to have because you're barely out of high school at that point.
>> Bridget:Oh. And that might be the only one to have.
>> Wendy:That's the only one I went to. Yeah, I went to that one. And I was kind of like everybody that I talked to was people I was still talking to.
>> Bridget:Oh. Yeah.
>> Wendy:So it was like, why am I here? We could just hang out with each other. So I didn't go to my 10 or my 20. I have my 20 college. My 20 year colleges in a couple weeks.
>> Bridget:Oh, wow.
>> Wendy:I am going. I. Well, I planned that.
>> Bridget:Okay.
>> Wendy:Just for our friend group. Not like at this. At the college. But. Yeah. I'm getting old.
>> Bridget:Yeah, sure. What's that make me, the Crypt Keeper? I haven't been to any of mine.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:Because. And you know how small my school was. Those reunions are held at a local restaurant. Table for 6, 8. And they're none of the people that I need to talk to.
>> Wendy:Yeah. So my parents went to a small school in southern Iowa and they're high school sweethearts. They do it interestingly because there's not enough people to show up for each year. So they just have an annual reunion every year. And anybody from any year can show up.
>> Bridget:Nice.
>> Wendy:And I think that's kind of cool.
>> Bridget:I think they do that or did that, I'm not sure. And then they tapered off. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Wendy:Somebody's gotta. You gotta have somebody that still cares enough to plan that stuff.
>> Bridget:Yeah. The thing about reunions is they think they have to be something that they're not to impress people.
>> Wendy:Yes.
>> Bridget:What was it they need cool jobs, boyfriends.
>> Wendy:Yes. Well, I think they just want to focus on the fact that they're living in la. But they are living in la.
>> Bridget:Yeah.
>> Wendy:They grew up in Tucson, which they kind of. I guess. I don't. I've been to Tucson, but I don't know much about it. They portrayed Tucson as being kind of cowboy and that kind of thing, which is not what I would picture Arizona being. But I don't know.
>> Bridget:I don't know.
>> Wendy:Maybe all. All smaller schools are like that.
>> Bridget:I don't know. It always seems like in movies and shows, if you come from Tucson, it's just like saying, come from Iowa. You know, it's just kind of. It's not impressive. Yeah, sorry. Tucson. Sorry. Yeah, we know nothing about you. So Mira Sorvino is Romy and Lisa Kudrow is Michelle. Alan C****** is the guy with the huge b****. I mean, huge notebook. And concealing his b**** for Michelle.
>> Wendy:Yes.
>> Bridget:Just doesn't give a crap about him. No, not at all. So I have a fun fact about the mean girls.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:Lisa Kudrow in high school has a scoliosis brace, which is so unfortunate. And the mean girl Christy. The mean girl Christy that comes along and put those. Puts those magnets on her back.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:And my grandma had those magnets.
>> Wendy:The banana, the vegetables. Yeah.
>> Bridget:So funny. That girl in real life had scoliosis.
>> Wendy:Oh, a mean girl.
>> Bridget:Yes. And it was really bad. I think she has a rod in her spine because her spine started cutting into her lung. And so they had to do this major surgery on her. So that's kind of interesting.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:Back brace girl. Back brace girl.
>> Wendy:Oh, that is unfortunate. I have scoliosis too, but it wasn't as bad as that. I do wear a brace. I had to go like to physical therapy and stuff for it.
>> Bridget:I'm okay. Mine is pretty slight, but my cousin had to wear the back brace.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:I was pretty young and I remember saying to her, I got scoliosis from you.
>> Wendy:It's contagious.
>> Bridget:Yeah. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. So Romy goes on the diet of gummy bears, jelly beans and candy corns.
>> Wendy:Fat free diet.
>> Bridget:Yeah.
>> Wendy:I wish I had their discipline. That might be the most most famous line from there other than the whole post it thing.
>> Bridget:Oh, God, there's so many great lines in there. Do you need to make a call? Because I've got a phone.
>> Wendy:Yeah. You feel for Romy and Michelle? Because I think we've all felt like that. And we also. All or most of us. I Think had the realization as we get older that these aren't even people that we care to impress.
>> Bridget:Right.
>> Wendy:So why are you working so hard to care to impress people that you don't even like? That's something you learn when you get out of high school.
>> Bridget:Yeah.
>> Wendy:And it's magnified by your reunion and I suppose.
>> Bridget:And magnified by magnets, that's for sure.
>> Wendy:Yes.
>> Bridget:It was hamburger day, and she took her hamburger.
>> Wendy:I know.
>> Bridget:What school lunch did you get excited about?
>> Wendy:I liked taquitos. Did you have those? It was basically a skinny burrito that had cheese sauce on it.
>> Bridget:Well, that's. That's way better than what we had. We had s*** called, like, shrimp shapes.
>> Wendy:Ooh.
>> Bridget:Yeah. I survived. I survived.
>> Wendy:Yeah. School lunches. I suppose it might be like that still in small schools, but in the bigger schools, they've got subway and all these different things that you can get.
>> Bridget:And, like, I hate them, too. Too lucky.
>> Wendy:Yeah. And also unhealthy, I think. Well, I don't know how healthy our school lunches were, but if you can get McDonald's every day, I don't think that's good for you.
>> Bridget:No, not at all.
>> Wendy:Ketchup is a vegetable I want to address. It's sort of related to the hamburger thing that they kept calling Romy chubby. She's not even chubby.
>> Bridget:Not at all.
>> Wendy:And she's like, oh, because you were a little fat in high school. I was like, she has maybe, like, five extra pounds. And they're. And they're also both trying to lose weight for this reunion, and they're already both very thin.
>> Bridget:Yeah.
>> Wendy:That was the culture in the late 90s, early 2000s. Like, you couldn't be even a little bit fat. I'm, like, so happy that that's not as bad as it used to be.
>> Bridget:Oh, God.
>> Wendy:Like, there's still a lot of discrimination against fat people, but, like, just, like, a little thick. It's no longer considered, like, fat and all that.
>> Bridget:I don't know. Yeah.
>> Wendy:But maybe. Yeah. Maybe some feelings come up.
>> Bridget:Oh, yeah.
>> Wendy:Trying to be that thin girl at that time in my life, and I was never was or, like, thinking I was fat when I wasn't.
>> Bridget:Yeah, that.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:Like, I think I had a great figure and I was athletic. I mean, I was cheerleader.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:But back then, no. Everything was wrong with me. Oh, isn't that sad?
>> Wendy:It is sad. I wish I could impart that wisdom on that version of myself.
>> Bridget:Yeah. I think everyone does.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:They look back at pictures and be like, oh, my God, I look back at pictures and I'm just like desperate for that skin back.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:Oh God.
>> Wendy:Same.
>> Bridget:God, it was. I don't know. Anyway, I found some age spots again this morning, so I'm trying to be better about my sunscreen.
>> Wendy:We went boating for the 4th of July and camping. So I was out in the sun the whole time and they start to come out and I have this big one on my cheek right now. Age spot. I wish I got like cute freckles, but I just get these big
>> Bridget:woo hoo. Coffee break. Let's talk about our beans.
>> Wendy:Are you enjoying flickin beans? Don't keep it to yourself. Spill the beans. Movies are better shared and so is coffee. Can you drop our pod into a friend's inbox? A group chat. Or just tell that cashier at your coffee shop that you love our podcast. A little worth of mouth goes a long way. Let's spill the beans. Thank you, Bean flickers. Love you. Bye. Yeah, well, age spots.
>> Bridget:Back to being a kid. I used to want to be tan and I just can't. People would say maybe one day all your freckles will grow together and. Yeah, no age spots feel like that cuz they're so big. Yeah, it's like, what?
>> Wendy:What's happening?
>> Bridget:Yeah.
>> Wendy:When I was on birth control it was even worse.
>> Bridget:Oh.
>> Wendy:Because it'll make them like. You'll get like hormonal sunspots. I used to get one across the top of my lip that was like mustache. It was super embarrassing.
>> Bridget:Oh my God.
>> Wendy:We would go boating and people would be like, you have mud on your face. I'm like, no, I just have a sun mustache.
>> Bridget:Oh h***.
>> Wendy:So yeah, I can tan, but it takes a lot of work. And I used to do like the tanning bed and all that, which I'm sure was not good for me. Now.
>> Bridget:No. I tried so hard. I realized also that I have new freckles in the webs of my fingers.
>> Wendy:Nice. I have a couple on the palm of my hand now. I didn't know you could do that.
>> Bridget:I didn't either. Okay, I have another fun fact. Okay. It's about Alan C******. So in New York City, he owns this bar called Club Coming.
>> Wendy:Okay.
>> Bridget:Which I don't know if I'd go
>> Wendy:there, but is it a gay bar? Does it have to be?
>> Bridget:I don't know, it could be. Because listen, every Saturday night they have a Romy and Michelle theme night where they play 90s music. In order to request songs from the DJ, you have to write them on Post its.
>> Wendy:I love it.
>> Bridget:And they have a scarf folding station. Yes.
>> Wendy:Love.
>> Bridget:Oh, wait, that was plural. So stations. Stations all around. I mean, I'd go there for that. Holy crap. So, yeah, I'm thinking there's probably a lot of game in there.
>> Wendy:That feels like. And just the name.
>> Bridget:Yes.
>> Wendy:Gay bars always have suggestive names like that that are a little bit too much.
>> Bridget:Right.
>> Wendy:Yeah, I love that. And the music and the. Is obviously great. And another time after time.
>> Bridget:Oh. Which I. Oh, God, I just love that dance scene.
>> Wendy:Oh, it is the best.
>> Bridget:It is the best.
>> Wendy:I want to, like, learn it and recreate it.
>> Bridget:As long as Romy can dance with us, I want to learn it and recreate it, too.
>> Wendy:Okay. We need a man to play Sandy, and we can do it.
>> Bridget:And that's the moment where they really just express who they are.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:The dance is great. And it's quirky.
>> Wendy:Yeah. Yeah. It's like a mix of contemporary and ballet and all this weird stuff. I don't know where they got those moves. Just watch it. But I love it. Let him posing.
>> Bridget:Yes.
>> Wendy:Stopping. Falling over forward. Because that shows emotion.
>> Bridget:Yes.
>> Wendy:Spinning around Sandy in different ways while he lays on the floor.
>> Bridget:But also, back to the Strictly Ballroom. He is. He's the one that show lets the ladies be. You know, it's so cute.
>> Wendy:It's about the ladies.
>> Bridget:It's about the ladies.
>> Wendy:And I love that he let Romy join.
>> Bridget:Yeah.
>> Wendy:You know, it was. Yeah. Sweet moment.
>> Bridget:Yep. And then they leave in his helicopter because he's rich. Because he invented some shoe rubber.
>> Wendy:Yeah. Not post its.
>> Bridget:Right.
>> Wendy:I thought that was cool. But then I was also like, what about the Jaguar? Because they borrow the Jaguar from Romy's co worker because she works at a Jaguar service station or something. I'm like, oh, just going to leave it there. Go home in the helicopter.
>> Bridget:Well, maybe they're just going for a sightseeing.
>> Wendy:Yeah. Just a spin.
>> Bridget:Yeah. Well, he's rich enough. He could have someone drive it back. True. We're not supposed to think about what we've left behind.
>> Wendy:This is not the movie to worry about that.
>> Bridget:One of my favorite scenes is when they are walking on the treadmill.
>> Wendy:Yeah. And they have heels.
>> Bridget:They have high heels on. They're walking so slow.
>> Wendy:And then they go back to the locker room and they changed out of those outfits. Those are their workouts. It's not like they just came from the office or whatever.
>> Bridget:Oh, I'd love to see someone dressed like that at the gym.
>> Wendy:If you haven't seen this movie. You may even know about this already. But they've tried to tell everybody that they invented Post Its.
>> Bridget:Yes.
>> Wendy:At the reunion. So I had to look up when Post Its were made because I'm like, they're probably using Post Its in High School.
>> Bridget:1987. Invented 80. Spread across. Marketed across the world.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:Oh, my gosh.
>> Wendy:And the reason that they were yellow.
>> Bridget:No, tell me.
>> Wendy:So the first factory that they made them in was near a. Next door to a place that had scrap paper. And all of the scrap paper was yellow. So to start making the prototypes, they just used the scrap paper because it was cheaper. And then they stuck with it, which, I mean, yellow is a good color because it catches your eye.
>> Bridget:It's so classic. Yeah. I think I prefer the yellow ones a lot of times from, like, the bright colors.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:Because I can't see what I wrote.
>> Wendy:Yeah. Sometimes, like, the. I have. Have a lot. I love office supplies for somebody that doesn't really use them. I just. It's like. It's like books, too. There's like the hobby of buying books and the hobby of reading books.
>> Bridget:Yes.
>> Wendy:The hobby of buying office supplies and the hobby of using them. And I don't use them. Not really.
>> Bridget:I know. I just bought a whole thing of paper clips.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:I don't know why.
>> Wendy:Those binder clips.
>> Bridget:Clips.
>> Wendy:Those are handy everywhere.
>> Bridget:Ton of those.
>> Wendy:Who invented those? Romeo? Michelle.
>> Bridget:They're actually really smart in real life.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:Lisa Kudrow has a biology degree from Vassar and Mira Sorvino has Asian studies degree from Harvard.
>> Wendy:Interesting.
>> Bridget:Yeah. I was like, Asian studies. Very interesting.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:What was that accent? Tucson.
>> Wendy:Tucson. That classic Tucson accent. That's funny because Lisa Kudrow especially. I don't know if it's because of her character Phoebe, but seems to get typecast in these kind of like, dumb blonde roles. Like, not necessarily dumb, but ditzy or not classically intelligent.
>> Bridget:Right.
>> Wendy:Underestimated.
>> Bridget:Blonde.
>> Wendy:Blonde. Yeah.
>> Bridget:Basically.
>> Wendy:Michelle and Phoebe have a lot of characteristics that are similar. They're similar characters, I would say, once
>> Bridget:they reunite with Sandy, well, he gives them the money to open a store, which is so great. Which is where that scarf folding thing comes from.
>> Wendy:Let's fold scarves.
>> Bridget:I know we haven't mentioned Janine Garofalo yet, but one of my favorite quotes from the movie is when she comes out of their dressing room and she's wearing, like, this white dress with lemons on it.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:Which is so not her character at all.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:And she goes, I look like an. This dress Exacerbates the genetic betrayal that is my legacy. Yeah, ring it up
>> Wendy:again. Pointing to the unrealistic beauty standards there. Because Janine is actually a very beautiful person.
>> Bridget:Oh, yeah.
>> Wendy:But, yeah, she always got, you know, cast in these kind of sidekicky, angsty roles, which she does beautifully. She used to be, like, a huge deal. I feel like around that time she was in a lot of movies and stuff. I wonder what she's up to these days.
>> Bridget:Yeah, we could be friends.
>> Wendy:Yeah, I would be friends there.
>> Bridget:Oh, h***, yeah. Alan. Coming. You know, everybody asks if they are gonna make a second one. And he was like, it'll probably never happen because Hollywood is so misogynist and, like, ageist. They're aged out. If there was a sequel, what would it be? Because I don't feel like they would have kids.
>> Wendy:I don't know. They're making another one.
>> Bridget:I don't. I mean, what do you think?
>> Wendy:I think that they're now like Barb and Star.
>> Bridget:Oh, God.
>> Wendy:Vista Del Mar.
>> Bridget:Barb and Star. Barbara and Star.
>> Wendy:Bruh. Starbra.
>> Bridget:I love that movie.
>> Wendy:I thought of that movie at the beginning when they first show Romy and Michelle's apartment because they have twin beds next to each other. And that's how Barb and Star are too. And I was like, yeah, maybe they're Burton earning it somewhere. And my God, I think that they're probably still running the store.
>> Bridget:Oh, yeah.
>> Wendy:And they might have men in their lives now. Maybe. I don't know.
>> Bridget:I don't think so. Because they're. They're in love with each other in, you know, like, almost twin way where you can't separate.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:When they get in a fight, I'm the Mary, you're the Rhoda. Have you ever seen that show?
>> Wendy:No. I had to look up what that was. Mary Tyler Moore.
>> Bridget:That was a good show. I love Rhoda.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:Justin Theroux is that cowboy.
>> Wendy:Yeah. Young, handsome Justin.
>> Bridget:Yeah.
>> Wendy:When he married Jennifer Aniston, I was kind of like, I don't get it. But they were older in this one. I'm like, oh, okay. I can kind of see it now.
>> Bridget:I've seen him be funny, so maybe he's funnier in real life. Oh, speaking of, I watched Brokeback Mountain.
>> Wendy:Oh, yeah.
>> Bridget:The other day. And I hadn't seen it. So since it came out. And I decided that I've never seen Jake Gyllenhaal act as well as he did in that movie.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:And maybe it's because he didn't open his mouth a Lot. Except for certain things he did a few times.
>> Wendy:Oh, my God. Maybe we should do that movie.
>> Bridget:We should.
>> Wendy:Yeah. I remember when that came out, asking my brother, like, if he was gonna go see it. Cause we were gonna go. And he's like, I don't know. It just seems like Gabe Cowboys is a little overdone.
>> Bridget:Overdone.
>> Wendy:I was like, is it?
>> Bridget:How many gay cowboy movies are there?
>> Wendy:Yeah, I guess. I don't know. Apparently, it's a thing I didn't know about in the community.
>> Bridget:I'm an old cowhand from the Rio Grand.
>> Wendy:That movie's depressing, though.
>> Bridget:Oh, God.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:It was slow. But that's the only thing I've seen Jake Gyllenhaal in where he wasn't off putting.
>> Wendy:Yeah. I'm trying to think of something else that I liked, and I can't.
>> Bridget:What was that skit? I think it was snl, where they were. It was Jake Gyllenhaal and Maggie Gyllenhaal, and they were arguing. No, I'm more off putting. No, I'm more off putting.
>> Wendy:I agree. Maggie has always given me a little bit of the ick, too.
>> Bridget:Yeah. Okay. I have another fun fact about Christy.
>> Wendy:Okay.
>> Bridget:The mean girl.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:Her and her friends are all pregnant. And at that moment, when the helicopter takes off, her dress flies up.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:And she's wearing those flowered granny panties. She kept those. She still has them.
>> Wendy:Nice.
>> Bridget:That is so funny.
>> Wendy:I love that.
>> Bridget:Well, I wouldn't think that a movie studio would reuse underpants.
>> Wendy:No, probably not. I'd be keeping all my underwear.
>> Bridget:I'd be like, what?
>> Wendy:That actually would be a fun art display. Just underwear from the movie.
>> Bridget:Oh, my God. Yeah.
>> Wendy:Because you. I mean, that would be an easy thing to steal from your set, right?
>> Bridget:Oh, my God.
>> Wendy:Because they don't reuse it. They shouldn't.
>> Bridget:The wardrobe person is like, give me the panties. Goodness.
>> Wendy:We gotta shoot them on Block A. Or whatever.
>> Bridget:They also had a classmate that ended up working for Vogue.
>> Wendy:Yeah. And she was like, a former mean girl. And now she didn't hang out with those people.
>> Bridget:She's way too cool.
>> Wendy:Yeah. And she is cool. And she also has the most. Most 90s eyebrows of anybody.
>> Bridget:But she's the only one there who totally stands up for Romeo. Michelle loves their outfits. When she say, I think they have a fun, frisky use of color and clean lines. Or something like that.
>> Wendy:Yeah.
>> Bridget:And she works for Vogue, so everybody shuts up.
>> Wendy:You would never see something like that in Vogue. But never. I'm glad that she could have purchased.
>> Bridget:It's so shiny. And I read that Mira Sorvino on the front of her. She has, like, a. It looks a little close to a Star Trek logo. She loves Star Trek. So that was a little Easter egg. Oh, and a bunch of those people had little parts in friends.
>> Wendy:Oh, cute.
>> Bridget:The guy that she liked in high school. That guy was fun. Bobby.
>> Wendy:Oh, right. Yes. Yes. Yeah.
>> Bridget:It's fitting, I guess, that he was drunk and puked.
>> Wendy:Yeah. Oh, that was so gross. He pukes in the bushes, and he's coming over and he's talking, like, five inches from Romy's face.
>> Bridget:Gross.
>> Wendy:And I'm like, I can just smell. Yeah. Like, you know, we've all witnessed that person or been that person, but that just threw up.
>> Bridget:Yeah.
>> Wendy:Or is, like, so drunk that they stink. And you're like.
>> Bridget:Yeah.
>> Wendy:You're like, hey.
>> Bridget:Oh, my God.
>> Wendy:Ew.
>> Bridget:Oh, my God. Yeah. You can smell it in your head. It's like how bad I gag when in Dumb and Dumber, they drink the pee or the cop drinks the pee.
>> Wendy:Yeah. And I'll just be like, I just watch Demestring Addiction. About this couple that drinks their own pee.
>> Bridget:Shut up.
>> Wendy:Do they at least filter it straight from the source?
>> Bridget:Do they at least refrigerate it?
>> Wendy:Fresh is better.
>> Bridget:You mean they just pee and drink it right in the bathroom?
>> Wendy:Pretty much. Or they leave the jar on the counter and drink it.
>> Bridget:Why?
>> Wendy:They believe that it's good for your health. The guy was like. It was a woman and man couple. And the guy said he never drinks water. He drinks pee and, like, milk. But it has to. It has to come from a living thing, he said. And of course, they always make him go to the doctor. And the doctor is like, you can't keep doing this. Your kidneys are gonna fail.
>> Bridget:Do you see this look on my face?
>> Wendy:Yes.
>> Bridget:What?
>> Wendy:There's a community of people that believe that drinking your pee is good for you because it has all these vitamins and minerals. And I'm like, yeah. And it also has everything your body doesn't want in it.
>> Bridget:Oh, I can't.
>> Wendy:You're in therapy.
>> Bridget:No, that's, like, when they microdosed the poop.
>> Wendy:Oh, yeah. Yeah. DIY Fecal transplants. I was telling my family about that over holiday. I don't remember how it came.
>> Bridget:Over a meal, I hope.
>> Wendy:Yeah, probably. I think we were talking about Joel's surgery, and they were talking about how you. If you get C diff, that the only thing you can really do is get a fecal transplant.
>> Bridget:Oh, my God.
>> Wendy:Then I was like, oh, yeah, I want to. I saw a show where she did a DIY one and her. Her boyfriend's poop wasn't good for her. He didn't have a good microbiome, so she had to switch to her brother in law. In laws.
>> Bridget:Okay.
>> Wendy:Yeah, I watch a lot of trash tv.
>> Bridget:Well, we covered that movie. It was called hack your health, understanding your gut.
>> Wendy:Oh, is that what it was from? Yes. Okay. I couldn't remember. Yes.
>> Bridget:I love that. I might watch that again. Again.
>> Wendy:Me too. I still think about it a lot with the vegetable thing and counting how many different plants I've had. Like, have I had enough variety this week?
>> Bridget:Yeah, we were both gung ho for that. Oh, my God.
>> Wendy:I still do it.
>> Bridget:I picked my very first pepper. It's teeny tiny and it's red.
>> Wendy:Cute.
>> Bridget:Anyway, anything else? We're going on 36.
>> Wendy:I wrote a note that Lisa Goodrow is left handed for some reason. Reason.
>> Bridget:So am I. Yeah.
>> Wendy:All my favorite people are. I mean, a lot of them. Joel, is. You are. A lot of my friends are left handed. I don't know.
>> Bridget:We're the best.
>> Wendy:It's true. I'm not regular old righty.
>> Bridget:Well, back when I was a kid, they tried to change you, huh? Yeah, my brother. Conversion therapy.
>> Wendy:Yeah. That's the devil's hand, you guys. It's a sin. My brother's kind of like that. He was. Was kind of ambidextrous. He would switch back and forth and they kind of were like, now you got to pick a side, man. Then he grew up to be by, so he didn't have to.
>> Bridget:Oh, my God.
>> Wendy:Well, on that note.
>> Bridget:Did we do it?
>> Wendy:I think we did it.
>> Bridget:We flick some be.
>> Wendy:Okay. Love you. Bye.
>> Bridget:Bye. Party all night long There.
